Pinacl-GDA helps Charity to get connected
Pinacl-GDA has donated Data Cable to Men in Sheds Winsford branch to help them connect their new 3D Printer and a host of other equipment.
Men in Sheds Winsford will offer men over 50 the chance to come together, relax and chat.
The activities are similar to those of garden sheds but for groups of men to enjoy together. They help reduce loneliness and isolation, but most importantly, they’re fun.
Men can learn skills like woodturning and pen making and get involved in community projects, computer sessions and model railways.
The aim of the sheds is to increase the wellbeing of men who are vulnerable to social isolation.
It provides a space for those who may have experienced a transition in their life, such as divorce, bereavement or retirement or some other milestone that has affected their lives in a significant way.
Liam Wynne MD of Pinacl-GDA had this to say:
“We always look to help local community projects where possible especially causes surrounding mental well-being, so when we were approached by an employee at one of our on-site Managed Service sites in Knutsford we thought it was a great idea.”
Mark Armstrong, Service Delivery Manager at Pinacl-GDA added the following:
“When I was approached by a former colleague who I had worked alongside previously for many years asking for help, I arranged to meet and understand what project he was helping with, I listened and jumped at the chance to help in providing some infrastructure cable where this would enable Age UK in the loneliness and isolation in men over 50 project. Such a worthy cause and Pinacl GDA are always willing to assist in such cases where we can.”
